A sunroof is a panel in the roof of a vehicle that can be opened to let in sunlight, but does not have a glass panel. A moonroof, on the other hand, refers to a panel in the roof of a vehicle that is made of glass and can either tilt open for ventilation or slide open. The term “moonroof” is typically used to describe a larger, more panoramic-style roof panel that provides a greater view of the sky while a sunroof is typically smaller and more discrete.
